54 Photos and Facts about the last 54 days

In my effort to catch you up since Valentine's Day, I'm going to update you with photos and facts about the last 54 days! And, we begin at number:

54. Ben made his first Valentine's Day box*.
*His mom may have helped him a little.53. Andrew and Ben now share a room. It's getting better as the days go by, but every now and then we have a little one sneak out to tattle on his brother!

52. We got some weird Oklahoma weather, and it snowed in February. On our "snow walk" Andrew would get down on all fours and eat the snow. Mommy eventually made him a snowball to eat.

51. After a few months of snow on and off, we all got a little tired of snow. This picture was taken when snow was still pretty cool.
50. Ben has been doing really well with reading.

49. Except for when he can't sound out a word correctly on his homework. Then he turns into a crazed little boy yelling "I can't do it" over and over!

48. Ben has decided that he no longer wants to be a policeman/fireman. Instead he wants to be a mechanic. Let's hope that he got his mother's instincts on fixing things.

47. Andrew loves a good QuikTrip French Vanilla Cappuccino.

46. Ben celebrated 100 days at school.

45. Andrew liked the glasses that Ben made!

44. Andrew got sick and threw up for the first time.

43. Mommy caught Andrew's bug. :(

42. Ben caught Andrew's bug, and bounced back the quickest.

41. Mommy ended up in the ER because her ulcer doesn't not like stomach bugs.

40. A week later, Daddy caught Andrew's bug.

39. Sick Andrew looks really cute sleeping on his daddy.

38. Ben mispronounces the word "tomatoes". He calls them "tornadoes".

37. On spring break we hiked at the Red Bud Natural Preserve again. We had such a good time walking and playing.

36. Ben has started soccer season again. The coach and her son are the only kids from last season's team that rejoined us. Everyone else is new to the team, and to the game.

35. Ben is the lead scorer, averaging at least one goal per game.

34. We have yet to win a game!

33. One of our games was so windy that Andrew had to burrow in my coat. It was crazy windy that day!
32. Later that afternoon we noticed that Andrew had a few welts on him. Turns out they were hives.

31. The hives lasted for 6 days. You can see some on his face here.

30. We have no idea what caused the hives. Luckily a steroid cleared them up and they haven't returned since then.

29. Ben is refusing to learn how to ride a bike with no training wheels.

28. Right around when Andrew started breaking out in hives we learned that he is no longer afraid of showers.

27. He is still afraid of hairdryers and anything else that makes a loud noise.

26. We learned that when Ben is told that the girl that he likes is near, you can actually hear his head whip up to look for her.

25. When Ben went with me to pick out his new shoes, he picked out a pair with no laces, because, unbeknownst to me, "laces are dumb."

24. Andrew went to his first dentist appointment. He loved playing with "Mr. Thirsty" and the other hygiene tools!

23. Neither of the boys had any cavities!

22. After our cleaning, the boys and I went to Ms Sally's donut shop to get some donut's. These boys' mother should be fired!

21. We found out that Ben likes cream filled donuts and donuts that are bigger than his face.

20. One of the sweetest things I've ever heard is Andrew telling me that "Jesus lives in my heart."

19. Andrew now knows how to spell his name!

18. If you are being too loud, or if you are really annoying Andrew he'll turn to you and yell "SHUSH!" It was cute for awhile, now it just gets him in trouble.

17. Ben's new favorite game on the Wii is NFL football.

16. I caught him yelling at his teammates the other day. He was telling them to block better, or he's going to pick a new team.

15. We have officially signed Andrew up for preschool next fall.

14. Andrew loved finding eggs at Easter. After he found a hard hiding egg he told the egg. "I found you, egg."

13. Ben got to search for eggs with the big kids, and he had a blast too!

12. We have the cutest kiddos that I know of! Here's Ju-Ju, Ben, Charlotte, Ella, and Rew. We're missing Michelle and Brad. :(

11. I love how Andrew says "I love you, mom" it sounds like, "I wudge you, mom."

10. Almost every night we sing songs with the boys before bed. One of the most popular is the song that Aunt Nelda taught Ben almost 4 years ago about an old two door Ford.

9. We have the most beautiful family!

8. Andrew was playing the game of Operation the other day, and he got the spongy little frog stuck up his nose. Although it was so far in that I couldn't see it, it blew out fine!

7. Ben was excited about promoting up to first grade until he heard from our neighbor about how much homework 1st graders do!

6. Andrew looks cute in hats!

5. When we go to Carolyn's house, Andrew drags out Ginger's (their long haired dog) dog bed, and lays in it. We leave with Andrew covered in dog hair!

4. Andrew loves push pops!

3. Ben did NOT like his Popsicle, but he LOVED his mom's!

2. He told me in between bites that he feels "so bad" about eating my ice cream.

1. It was totally hysterical listening to Ben eat this ice cream. He was slurping and grunting, and licking so loudly that it reminded me of this part of Kevin James' act about a man eating an apple!

I hope that you enjoyed the update!
