Our family recently spent a long weekend in the Lake of the Ozarks. Jason's Aunt and Uncle have a gorgeous house settled in a cove on the lake.
We all had a blast! Nelda is the original Martha Stewart and a perfect hostess. As soon as we walked in the door we found two boxes with the boys' names on them filled with games, a towel, a flashlight, a huge lollipop
and more! We had so much excellent food, she'd put a Vegas buffet to shame!
Our days were filled with swimming in the lake. Jumping in from the high ladder!
lounging on the porch, eating, and swimming some more!We got to pick some of the items for our dinner from Steve and Nelda's garden.
And we went on a boat ride. It was Andrew's first time! We had a blast jumping other boats' wake and getting splashed!
We made homemade ice cream. And Nelda even let us lick the beaters!
In the evening we'd wind down by playing on the big rug, and listening to Nelda practice the piano. Andrew even helped her out a little!
Ben got to chase ducks that came out of the cove!
We had such a nice visit! The boys were up at sunrise, and down by sunset! It was a much longer day than we usually get to have with them! They were both exhausted, and Andrew crashed on the way home!

Sooooo glad that you all had a good time. We are happy that the weather was good and that we got to do fun things. Hope the boys will have fond memories of being at Aunt Nelda's and Uncle Steve's Ozark lake home. We loved having you all. Love to you all!!
